My quest for the perfect magnolia wreath, however, didn’t end there. I explored local boutiques and home decor stores in Athens, hoping to find a more reasonably priced alternative. While I did find some lovely options, they still exceeded my budget. I left empty-handed, promising myself I’d return “soon” to make a purchase – a purchase that, as it turns out, never happened. The dream of elegant magnolia door decor seemed just out of reach, but I wasn’t ready to give up.

My fortunes changed during a regular visit to what I affectionately call the “craft mothership” – Hobby Lobby. While browsing the floral aisles, my eyes landed on bunches of incredibly realistic faux magnolia leaves.
