I creatively repurposed it for another tray project – a testament to the “nothing goes unused” philosophy in my crafting space.

Once your drawer is prepared to your desired depth, give it a good cleaning. Wipe away any dust or grime. Resist the urge to sand it perfectly smooth if you’re aiming for a distressed, vintage look. However, you could also opt for a clear polyurethane or a clear spray sealant for added durability and water resistance, especially given its purpose as a boot tray.

Here she is sanded a little to create a vintage look and I used wax as a top coat, but you can us whatever you like.
