Hello everyone! I’m absolutely delighted that Katie invited me to share one of my favorite holiday projects with all of you today. The holiday season is undoubtedly my favorite time to spend decorating my home, transforming it into a cozy, festive sanctuary. While I might jokingly call myself more of a shopper than a dedicated crafter, when I do dive into a DIY project, my philosophy is always “keep it super simple and stylish.” This project perfectly embodies that approach, allowing you to create beautiful, personalized pieces without any stress or complicated steps. I source mine from my own line, Designs by Destiny, but you can find a wide variety of monogram decal sets or custom vinyl decals at craft stores, online marketplaces, or even create your own with a cutting machine like a Cricut (hint, hint, remember the giveaway!). Choose a font and style that complements your holiday aesthetic.
• Coordinating Ribbon: Select a ribbon that harmonizes with your chosen decal color and overall holiday theme. Satin, grosgrain, or even burlap ribbon can add different textures and finishes. This will be used for both the hanger loop and a decorative bow, so ensure you have enough length.
• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks: An essential tool for quick and secure adhesion. Make sure your glue gun is heated and ready for use.

Slowly peel back the transfer paper, ensuring the decal fully adheres to the wood surface. If any part of the decal lifts, simply press the transfer paper back down over that section and rub firmly before trying again. This careful application is key to a crisp, professional finish.
